Our Oldest Whisky to Date: Glenburgie 50 YO

We are proud to share news of a very special release, the oldest whisky we’ve ever bottled.
This latest addition to our Cask Masters range is a remarkable 50 year old Single Malt from Glenburgie Distillery in Speyside. Distilled in July 1975 and matured for half a century in an American Bourbon barrel, the whisky was bottled on the 4th of August this year at 40.5% abv.
The Cask Masters series is all about celebrating single casks from a diverse mix of distilleries, with each bottling carrying detailed cask information and sequentially numbered labels. This Glenburgie joins the “Rare & Exclusive” selection of the range, which already features whiskies over 30 years old , but this one marks a new milestone for us.
Tasting notes highlight subtle citrus, gooseberry and that classic ‘old bottle effect’ on the nose, moving into a silken texture with green orchard fruit, jasmine tea and delicate oak on the palate. The finish is long and balanced, with jasmine and fruit notes gently fading.
Only 108 bottles of the Cask Masters Glenburgie 50 Years Old will be available worldwide from early October, through specialist retailers and at selected whisky festivals.
