Casks used for Oloroso-, Pedro-Ximenez-Sherry or Bourbon are quite common and far more than 90% of all Whisky in Scotland are maturing in those casks. Don´t get us wrong – they are perfectly suited to meet the mainstream taste! But - The Rebels of Brave New Spirits don’t submit to the taste of the masses. They always dare to make the unusual cask maturation finishes. Our passionate team look all over the world for special wood – to create the maybe most unusual whisky edition ever.
Wine barriques from Asia, Tequila barrels from Mexico, unusual white wine barriques, casks used for sweet wines from islands such as Madeira or Sicily, Rum barrels from the Caribbean or Central America – The Rebels try out new combinations and surprising flavors and they are broadening horizons. These whiskies are for new drinkers and the connoisseurs who already had (almost) everything in their glass, but who are keen on exploring a new dimension of taste.
• Scotch Whisky, mostly Single Malt
• Single cask bottling or small batches of up to three casks
• Spirit matured in exceptional, unusual wood: Everything but Oloroso Sherry or American Bourbon Casks
• Bottled at natural strength (up to 60% ABV or even more), non chill-filtered
